650-2821 Duel End Beadmakers Rake

Raking, also called combing, is the process of drawing a metal rod across the surface of softened glass. Pleasant designs can be achieved by raking through parallel lines, etc. The rake is a 1/8” stainless steel rod bent to 90° at the end, which has been sharpened to a point and slightly blunted to make a furrow in the molten glass.
