This transparent rod may be used as a base for, or to encase, colored
glass. The coefficient of expansion is similar to Bullseye and Uroboros
glass. This long-working, soft, soda-lime glass is easy to work. Rod size
is approximately 59" long and approximately 5 mm in diameter. Coefficient
of Expansion - 90 x 10-7° C. Softening point - 1319° F. Schott
rods are sold by the pound.
