Glastar Specialty Diamond Grinding Heads

Glastar uses a unique diamond-bonding process that literally fuses the diamond particles to the grinding heads. The PBS® System eliminates “peeling.” The diamonds are permanently bonded to the head with controlled spacing of the particles making it easier to cool while creating more cutting edges on each particle.

Glastar specialty heads are available in three grit sizes:

Standard grit for every day grinding

Fine grit for smoother finish

Lamp Head

Standard Grit #500-2254 Fine Grit #500-2269

A flexible head with one flat and two angled surfaces. Use the lower (9 degree) angled surface for lamps with 10 or more panels. Use the upper (18 degree) angled surface for lamps with fewer than 10 panels. A perfect partner with flat edge and multi-panel lamp and sculpture projects.

Radius Head

Standard Grit #500-2265 Fine Grit #500-2272

A flat and radius (rounded) edger in one! This head is ideal for mosaics or when working with exposed glass edges. The rounded edge makes foiling easier. Use the fine grit radius head to virtually eliminate chipping on decorative mirror edging. A Glastar Exclusive!

Ripple Head

Standard Grit #500-2258 Fine Grit #500-2270

A combination head with a tapered channel for heavily textured glass. Simplifies foiling and makes fitting this type of glass into lead or zinc came a breeze.
